ADR 0008: Product name is Duckbill

Context

The site and repository used Inbox Agent / Inbox Assistant. The Jira project was PlatypusMail. The owner chose a product name that keeps mail and platypus in mind.

Decision

The product name is Duckbill.

Site chrome (header, home heading, document title) uses Duckbill. The GitHub repo is duckbill (MAIL-206). Specification markdown titles and npm scope @inbox-agent stay until MAIL-193.

Alternatives

• Platypost — strong coinage; owner preferred Duckbill.
• Platypus Mail — clearest; longer and already used as a project label.
• Inbox Agent — working name; does not carry platypus.

Consequences

duckbill.jasonkoch.io presents Duckbill. Historical docs may still say Inbox Agent until MAIL-193.
